Integrative Wellness — Timber Façade
The story
The Integrative Wellness centre at AMAALA features a timber façade — every window and door bespoke, every joint visible. Out-of-the-box BIM families won't do: the geometry, the joinery, the thermal performance, all of it has to be parametric AND fabrication-ready. Our scope started where typical Revit content libraries fail.
We translated the CAD design-development drawings into custom timber families — windows, doors, jamb assemblies, sill conditions — at LOD 400 with manufacturer-specific parameters baked in. Shop drawings extracted from the model went straight to the joinery fabricator. After construction we delivered the As-Built LOD 500 model with installation tolerances captured back into the family parameters, ready for facility handover.
