Koraysh Castle — Point Cloud to BIM

Old Jeddah, Saudi Arabia·Modern Building

The story

A ~6,000 sqm hotel project in the heart of Old Jeddah, where the historic fabric of the city demands an as-built fidelity that traditional CAD workflows can’t reach.

Design Zone captured the structure with a Leica RTC360 laser scanner, registered the point cloud in Autodesk Recap, and traced an LOD 500 As-Built model in Revit. The output: free-of-clashes coordination, 2D plans / sections / elevations / site layouts extracted directly from the model, and asset information linked back to each modelled element for the operations team.
